Bike Coweta envisions becoming the pivotal ‘spoke’ that connects resources, fostering expanded advocacy and education. Over the next five years, our mission is to create a safer environment for cyclists and pedestrians in Coweta, with a particular focus on underserved communities. Through the development of essential infrastructure such as trails, bike lanes, sharrows, bike racks, complete streets, sidewalks, and safe crosswalks, we aim to encourage more individuals to embrace cycling and walking as viable transportation options.
By actively promoting cycling events, contributing to the construction of bike-friendly facilities, and serving as consultants and ambassadors for the cycling community, we aspire to stimulate cycling tourism and catalyze economic growth.
Our vision includes elevating the status of cyclists, fostering respect, and positioning Bike Coweta as a recognized and respected representative within Coweta County. With increased revenue, we plan to support part-time staff, expand our Board, and play a more influential role in shaping the cycling landscape of our community.
