Yep you’re getting the idea by now that we have a growing hidden cycling community in Newnan. We appreciate the @newnanpolice7 for being lenient on sidewalk cycling … it’s not legal for adults but it’s safer.

We’re looking for ways to get helmets to our hidden community. Tell your ideas on how to get helmets out to these venerable cyclists?

Today’s member of Coweta’s hidden cycling community rides in downtown Newnan on the square.

Coweta’s hidden cycling community rarely has a helmet, navigates high traffic areas, rarely rides on the sidewalks and often carries a pack or back pack.

Today’s member of the hidden cycling community heads up Greenville Street towards the Courthouse Square. Greenville Street can be dicey even for the seasoned cyclist given the volume of traffic. We’re thankful he elected to get off his bike and use the sidewalk.

This gentleman joins many others in the community that bike Coweta either by necessity or choice.

Coweta’s hidden cycling community is growing, are not from out of town, and don’t ride in large groups. They’re your neighbor.
